Mara - Laser Levelers

GPS laser levellers for horse riding tracks

Mara Laser is a business company that for 30 years and more has been examining, producing and trading laser and GPS controlled laser levellers, turning towards buyers in about 30 nations all over the world.
Thanks to GPS and laser control technologies, it is feasible to achieve important results in different sectors of utility: from agricoltural ground to sport facilities, from building constructions to road excavations, from landscaping to ground scraping.
Mara’s levellers ensure a series of returns and high productivity in various situations: from the machine operating speed regime, to a total trustworthiness and certainty of the result.

Mara’s technology

The technology used by Mara is what makes it unique, and the results obtained all over the world are proof of this. Laser and GPS receiver technologies provide an unique performance, in particular when they are combined.

Laser technology

Laser technology is applied to the levellers in a way that without stopping synchronize the height of the blade.
The laser leveller, the laser beam transmitter and the laser beam receiver are the elements of the laser control system for levelling.
The transmitter is located on a tripod that sees the natural gradient of the soil and sends the signal to the receiver, which is instead put on the machine itself.
The laser beam, as it is one of its own characteristics, enables very high accuracy even over long land portions. After picking up the signal, a technologically perfectioned rotating pentaprism, put on these machines, gives back an ideal planning for the leveller to follow while operating.
The receiver also has an important role, because it correctly reads the laser light received from the transmitter, through special photodiodes. The receivers, manufactured by Mara Laser, guarantee the levellers will be able to work on any kind of soil and receive the 360° signal, even though it could be poor or it is subjected to interference.
On the laser leveller, also, there is a control system to remove external interference. It decreases wind rumble, automatically intercepts the signal and settles the power of the tractor.

GPS receiver technology

GPS technology, after all, is used to regulate the position of the laser leveller and the height of the blade.
The levellers, that implement this technology, perceive the laser signal from the satellites: even in this situation the planning is defined by the signal and reproduced on the soil.
Lately, thanks to technological progress and the use of dedicated software, an accuracy of ± 10 mm has been obtained, even though this technology offers poorer accuracy than laser technology: GPS systems are subject to fluctuations as it is one of the periodic change of constellation of the satellites.
In any case, the poorer accuracy is compensated by the wide elasticity of use, in particular when this technology is used to work on large parts with various inclinations, such as agricoltural ground and building constructions.

Integrated laser + GPS system

Mara Laser has created and manufactured an integrated system that connects the precision of laser technology with the potential of GPS, the right one for harsh soil.
The higher accuracy of the laser signal represents the plan within a radius of 1300 meters, while the GPS system communicates the place of the leveller. Hence, the Mara system can regulate the height of the tractor leveller and the place of the blade itself.
The creation of the 3D map of the soil enables to highlight the parts that has to be scraped, the loading areas, the section where to begin, and the best route that enables to do the greatest job possible, with both the tractor and the leveller in the right position.
Hence, the operator will have immediate instructions through the constant updating of the data by the system.

Fields of application

The important accuracy and elasticity of the levellers manufactured by Mara Laser secure their use in various areas:

  • Laser levelling machines for agriculture:
Mara’s laser levellers, among the different benefits secure a key increase of the arable parts. They permits a reduction in the amount of water used, they can provide more abundant harvest, a considerable reduction of chemicals used, as well as seeds. The lowering in work hours, moreover, makes the use of these machines a sure investment.
  • Laser levelling machines for construction:
Mara Laser provides an absolute perfect precision to obtain ground floors with very contained deflections (max 4 mm) and to remove cavities and gaps that would, afterwords, be filled with concrete. The lowering of work hours and the possibility of obtaining an absolute perfect slope for water to flow down, are other benefits that make these machines incomparable and incomparable in this areas.
  • Laser levelling machines for earth-moving:
the fine performance of the Mara levellers enables to move large quantity of soil very quickly and with low power. In this way, shorter work hours, lower costs and greater accuracy in creating the horizontal plan and gradient, are achieved.
  • Laser levelling machine for sportsground:
this type of technology can be used very well in this field as it makes possible to level even existing sectors, repairing soil depressions without replacing the lawn.
  • Laser levelling machines for greenhouses:
thanks to the accuracy, contained size and easy handling of Mara laser levellers, it is also doable to work for the maintenance of green spaces. In this way, the right gradient and also a great aesthetic result are ensured.
  • Laser grader machines for roads:
in this field, important results are achieved thanks to the skills of the Mara’s laser graders to perform the same job as the motor grader, with poorer costs and more convenient times. In addition, there are key benefits, for example specialized labor is no longer needed, on top to the fact that the use of fine materials is reduced.
