Mara Laser is a business activity that for over 30 years has been analyzing, producing and marketing laser and GPS controlled laser levellers, turning towards clients in about 30 nations all over the world.
Thanks to GPS and laser control technologies, we can reach important results in many sectors of utility: from agricoltural ground to sport courts, from building constructions to road excavations, from landscaping to soil scraping.
Mara’s levellers ensure a series of returns and high capacity in more than one situations: from the machine functioning velocity, to a total trustworthiness and certainty of the result.
The technology used by Mara is what makes it unique, and the results obtained all over the world are proof of this. Laser and GPS receiver technologies give an unique performance, mostly when they are used together.
Laser technology is applied to the levellers in a way that continually synchronize the height of the blade.
The laser leveller, the laser beam transmitter and the laser beam receiver are the elements of the laser control system for levelling.
The transmitter is put on a tripod that sees the natural gradient of the land and sends the signal to the receiver, which is instead put on the machine itself.
The laser beam, for its own characteristics, permits very high accuracy even over long land portions. After picking up the signal, a technologically perfectioned rotating pentaprism, put on these machines, returns an ideal planning for the leveller to follow while functioning.
The receiver also has an important role, because it correctly reads the laser light received from the transmitter, through special photodiodes. The receivers, made by Mara Laser, guarantee the levellers will be able to move on any kind of ground and receive the 360° signal, though it could be low or experiences interference.
On the laser leveller, moreover, there is a control system to remove external interference. It decreases wind rumble, automatically intercepts the signal and regulates the power of the tractor.
GPS receiver technology
GPS technology, however, is used to regulate the position of the laser leveller and the height of the blade.
The levellers, that implement this technology, perceive the laser signal from the satellites: even in this situation the planning is defined by the signal and reproduced on the land.
Nowadays, thanks to technological progress and the use of dedicated software, an accuracy of ± 10 mm has been reached up, even though this technology offers minor accuracy than laser technology: GPS systems are subject to fluctuations for the periodic change of constellation of the satellites.
In any case, the minor accuracy is compensated by the wide elasticity of use, mostly when this technology is used to work on large parts with more than one inclinations, such as agricoltural ground and building constructions.
Integrated laser + GPS system
Mara Laser has created and made an integrated system that matches the precision of laser technology with the potential of GPS, the right one for harsh land.
The higher accuracy of the laser signal represents the plan within a radius of 1300 meters, while the GPS system communicates the precise spot of the leveller. Hence, the Mara system can regulate the height of the tractor leveller and the precise spot of the blade itself.
The creation of the 3D map of the land permits to highlight the parts that has to be scraped, the loading areas, the section where to begin, and the best way that enables to do the greatest job possible, with both the tractor and the leveller in the right position.
Hence, the operator will have immediate instructions through the constant updating of the data by the system.
Fields of application
The important accuracy and elasticity of the levellers made by Mara Laser ensure their use in more than one areas:
- Laser levelling machines for agriculture:
Mara’s laser levellers, among the many conveniences ensure a key increase of the arable parts. They enable a reduction in the amount of water used, they can provide more abundant harvest, a less use of chemicals, as well as seeds. The lowering in work hours, besides, makes the use of these machines a sure investment.
- Laser levelling machines for construction:
Mara Laser provides an absolute perfect precision to obtain ground floors with very contained deflections (max 4 mm) and to remove cavities and gaps that would, afterwords, be filled with concrete. The lowering of work hours and the possibility of obtaining an absolute perfect slope for water to flow down, are other conveniences that make these machines worthy and incomparable in this areas.
- Laser levelling machines for earth-moving:
the fine performance of the Mara levellers permits to move large amount of soil very quickly and with low power. In this way, shorter work hours, lower costs and greater accuracy in creating the horizontal plan and gradient, are achieved.
- Laser levelling machine for sportsground:
this type of technology can be utilized very well in this area as it makes possible to level even existing sectors, repairing slope without replacing the lawn.
- Laser levelling machines for greenhouses:
thanks to the accuracy, contained size and easy handling of Mara laser levellers, it is also feasible to work for the maintenance of green spaces. In this way, the right gradient and also a great aesthetic result are ensured.
- Laser grader machines for roads:
in this area, important results are achieved thanks to the capacity of the Mara’s laser graders to perform the same job as the motor grader, with minor costs and more convenient times. In addition, there are key conveniences, for example specialized labor is no longer needed, besides to the fact that the use of fine materials is reduced.
