The technology used by Mara is what makes it unbeatable, and the results obtained all over the world testify this. Laser and GPS system technologies give an unique performance, in particular when they are combined.
Laser technology
Laser technology is applied to the levellers in a way that continually synchronize the height of the blade.
The laser levelling machine, the laser beam transmitter and the laser beam receiver are the elements of the laser control system for levelling.
The transmitter is put on a tripod that observes the natural gradient of the soil and sends the signal to the receiver, which is instead positioned on the machine itself.
The laser beam, beacuse of its own characteristics, enables very high preciseness even over long land portions. After picking up the signal, a technologically perfectioned rotating pentaprism, positioned on these machines, returns an ideal pianification for the leveller to follow while functioning.
The receiver also has an important role, because it correctly reads the laser light received from the transmitter, through special photodiodes. The receivers, manufactured by Mara Laser, guarantee the levellers will be able to move on any kind of ground and receive the 360° signal, though it could be low or it is subjected to interference.
On the laser levelling machine, also, there is a control system to remove external interference. It lowers wind rumble, automatically captures the signal and regulates the power of the tractor.
GPS system technology
GPS technology, however, is used to settle the position of the laser levelling machine and the height of the blade.
The levellers, that adopt this technology, perceive the laser signal from the satellites: even in this situation the pianification is illustrated by the signal and reproduced on the soil.
Lately, thanks to technological advancement and the use of dedicated software, an accuracy of ± 10 mm has been obtained, even though this technology offers poorer accuracy than laser technology: GPS systems are subject to fluctuations beacuse of the periodic change of constellation of the satellites.
In any case, the poorer preciseness is compensated by the wide elasticity of use, in particular when this technology is used to work on large land sections with various inclinations, such as agricultural soil and building constructions.
Integrated laser + GPS system
Mara Laser has produced and manufactured an integrated system that adds the precision of laser technology with the potential of GPS, proper for tough soil.
The higher preciseness of the laser signal lays out the plan within a radius of 1300 meters, while the GPS system communicates the location of the leveller. Thus, the Mara system can settle the height of the tractor leveller and the location of the blade itself.
The creation of the 3D map of the soil enables to highlight the land sections that has to be scraped, the loading areas, the section where to begin, and the best way that allows to make the best work possible, with both the tractor and the leveller in the right position.
Thus, the operator will have immediate instructions through the constant updating of the data by the system.
