The technology used by Mara is what makes it unique, and the results obtained all over the world testify this. Laser and GPS system technologies give an unrivaled performance, mostly when they are combined.
Laser technology
Laser technology is applied to the levellers in a way that continually synchronize the height of the blade.
The laser leveller, the laser beam transmitter and the laser beam receiver are the elements of the laser control system for levelling.
The transmitter is placed on a tripod that examines the natural gradient of the land and sends the signal to the receiver, which is instead positioned on the machine itself.
The laser beam, as it is one of its own characteristics, permits very high preciseness even over long sections of land. After picking up the signal, a technologically perfectioned rotating pentaprism, positioned on these machines, returns an ideal pianification for the leveller to follow while running.
The receiver also plays a very important part, because it correctly reads the laser light received from the transmitter, through special photodiodes. The receivers, made by Mara Laser, guarantee the levellers will be able to move on any type fo ground and receive the 360° signal, even if it could be poor or it is subjected to interference.
On the laser leveller, also, there is a control system to remove external interference. It lowers wind rumble, automatically intercepts the signal and sets the power of the tractor.
GPS system technology
GPS technology, however, is used to settle the position of the laser leveller and the height of the blade.
The levellers, that implement this technology, obtain the laser signal from the satellites: even in this situation the pianification is represented by the signal and reproduced on the land.
Lately, thanks to technological advancement and the use of dedicated software, an accuracy of ± 10 mm has been obtained, even though this technology offers poorer accuracy than laser technology: GPS systems are subject to fluctuations as it is one of the periodic change of constellation of the satellites.
In any case, the poorer preciseness is compensated by the wide elasticity of use, mostly when this technology is used to work on large parts with various inclinations, such as agricoltural ground and building constructions.
Integrated laser + GPS system
Mara Laser has created and made an integrated system that matches the precision of laser technology with the potential of GPS, suitable for harsh land.
The higher preciseness of the laser signal shows the plan within a radius of 1300 meters, while the GPS system communicates the location of the leveller. Thus, the Mara system can settle the height of the tractor leveller and the location of the blade itself.
The creation of the 3D map of the land permits to highlight the parts that has to be scraped, the loading areas, the section where to begin, and the best way that allows to do the greatest job possible, with both the tractor and the leveller in the right position.
Thus, the operator will have immediate instructions through the constant updating of the data by the system.
