Mara’s technology
The technology used by Mara is what makes it unique, and the results obtained all over the world testify this. Laser and GPS receiver technologies give an unique performance, mostly when they are used together.
Laser technology
Laser technology is applied to the levellers in a way that without stopping synchronize the height of the blade.
The leveller, the laser beam transmitter and the laser beam receiver are the elements of the laser control system for levelling.
The transmitter is placed on a tripod that observes the natural gradient of the soil and sends the signal to the receiver, which is instead mounted on the machine itself.
The laser beam, beacuse of its internal characteristics, enables very high accuracy even over long sections of land. After getting the signal, a technologically perfectioned rotating pentaprism, mounted on these machines, gives back an ideal planning for the leveller to follow while running.
The receiver also has an important role, because it correctly reads the laser light received from the transmitter, through special photodiodes. The receivers, manufactured by Mara Laser, guarantee the levellers will be able to work on any type fo ground and receive the 360° signal, even if it could be poor or experiences interference.
On the leveller, also, there is a control system to annul external interference. It cuts wind rumble, automatically reaches the signal and sets the power of the tractor.
GPS receiver technology
GPS technology, after all, is used to settle the position of the leveller and the height of the blade.
The levellers, that adopt this technology, get the laser signal from the satellites: even in this situation the planning is represented by the signal and reproduced on the soil.
Lately, thanks to technological advancement and the use of dedicated software, an accuracy of ± 10 mm has been obtained, even though this technology offers less accuracy than laser technology: GPS systems are subject to fluctuations beacuse of the periodic change of constellation of the satellites.
In any case, the less accuracy is compensated by the wide elasticity of use, mostly when this technology is used to work on large land portions with more than one inclinations, such as agricoltural ground and building constructions.
Integrated laser + GPS system
Mara Laser has created and manufactured an integrated system that adds the precision of laser technology with the potential of GPS, perfect for harsh soil.
The higher accuracy of the laser signal represents the plan within a radius of 1300 meters, while the GPS system communicates the location of the leveller. Hence, the Mara system can settle the height of the tractor leveller and the location of the blade itself.
The creation of the 3D map of the soil enables to highlight the land portions that has to be scraped, the loading areas, the section where to begin, and the best route that allows to make the best work possible, with both the tractor and the leveller in the right position.
Hence, the operator will have instant instructions through the constant updating of the data by the system.
