Mara - Laser Levelers

Leveller blade for earth-moving

Mara Laser is a business company that for over 30 years has been analyzing, making and marketing laser and GPS controlled laser levellers, calling on buyers in about 30 states all over the world.
Thanks to GPS and laser control technologies, we can reach considerable results in different areas of utility: from agricultural soil to sportsground, from building constructions to road excavations, from landscaping to ground scraping.
Mara’s levellers ensure a series of returns and high capacity in various situations: from the machine running velocity, to a total affidability and guarantee of the final success.

Mara’s technology

The technology used by Mara is what makes it unique, and the results obtained all over the world testify this. Laser and GPS receiver technologies give an unrivaled performance, in particular when they are combined.

Laser technology

Laser technology is applied to the levellers in a way that continually synchronize the height of the blade.
The leveller, the laser beam transmitter and the laser beam receiver are parts of the laser control system for levelling.
The transmitter is positioned on a tripod that examines the natural inclination of the land and sends the signal to the receiver, which is instead put on the machine itself.
The laser beam, as it is one of its internal characteristics, enables very high accuracy even over long land portions. After getting the signal, a technologically perfectioned rotating pentaprism, put on these machines, gives back an ideal pianification for the leveller to follow while running.
The receiver also plays a very important part, because it correctly reads the laser light received from the transmitter, through special photodiodes. The receivers, made by Mara Laser, guarantee the levellers will be able to work on any kind of ground and receive the 360° signal, even though it could be low or it is subjected to interference.
On the leveller, moreover, there is a control system to annul external interference. It decreases wind rumble, automatically intercepts the signal and settles the power of the tractor.

GPS receiver technology

GPS technology, after all, is used to set the position of the leveller and the height of the blade.
The levellers, that implement this technology, get the laser signal from the satellites: even in this situation the pianification is defined by the signal and reproduced on the land.
Lately, thanks to technological progress and the use of dedicated software, an accuracy of ± 10 mm has been obtained, even though this technology offers minor accuracy than laser technology: GPS systems are subject to fluctuations as it is one of the periodic change of constellation of the satellites.
In any case, the minor accuracy is compensated by the wide adaptability of use, in particular when this technology is used to work on large land portions with various inclinations, such as agricultural soil and building constructions.

Integrated laser + GPS system

Mara Laser has produced and made an integrated system that matches the precision of laser technology with the potential of GPS, proper for tough land.
The higher accuracy of the laser signal represents the plan within a radius of 1300 meters, while the GPS system communicates the place of the leveller. Therefor, the Mara system can set the height of the tractor leveller and the place of the blade itself.
The creation of the 3D map of the land enables to highlight the land portions that has to be scraped, the loading areas, the section where to begin, and the best route that enables to do the greatest job possible, with both the tractor and the leveller in the right position.
Therefor, the operator will have instant instructions through the constant updating of the data by the system.

Fields of application

The considerable accuracy and adaptability of the levellers made by Mara Laser assure their use in various areas:

  • Laser levelling machines for agriculture:
Mara’s laser levellers, among the different conveniences assure a key increase of the arable land portions. They enable a reduction in the amount of water used, they can provide more abundant harvest, a less use of chemicals, as well as seeds. The lowering in work times, furthermore, makes the use of these machines a sure investment.
  • Laser levelling machines for construction:
Mara Laser provides a perfect precision to obtain ground floors with very reduced deflections (max 4 mm) and to annul cavities and gaps that would, later, be filled with concrete. The lowering of work times and the possibility of obtaining a perfect slope for water to flow down, are other conveniences that make these machines worthy and priceless in this areas.
  • Laser levelling machines for earth-moving:
the first-rate performance of the Mara levellers enables to move large amount of soil very quickly and with low power. In this way, shorter work times, lower costs and greater accuracy in creating the horizontal plan and inclination, are achieved.
  • Laser levelling machine for sportsground:
this type of technology can be utilized very well in this field as it enables to level even existing areas, repairing soil depressions without replacing the lawn.
  • Laser levelling machines for greenhouses:
thanks to the accuracy, reduced size and easy handling of Mara laser levellers, it is also feasible to work for the maintenance of green spaces. In this way, the right inclination and also a fabulous aesthetic result are assured.
  • Laser grader machines for roads:
in this field, important results are achieved thanks to the capability of the Mara’s laser graders to provide the same job as the motor grader, with minor costs and more convenient times. In addition, there are key conveniences, for example specialized labor is no longer needed, on top to the fact that the use of fine materials is reduced.
