The technology used by Mara is what makes it unique, and the results acquired all over the world witness this. Laser and GPS system technologies give an unique performance, in particular when they are used together.
Laser technology
Laser technology is applied to the levellers in a way that without stopping synchronize the height of the blade.
The leveller, the laser beam transmitter and the laser beam receiver are the elements of the laser control system for levelling.
The transmitter is located on a tripod that sees the natural gradient of the soil and communicates the signal to the receiver, which is instead positioned on the machine itself.
The laser beam, beacuse of its own characteristics, enables very high accuracy even over long land portions. After picking up the signal, a technologically perfectioned rotating pentaprism, positioned on these machines, gives back an ideal program for the leveller to follow while running.
The receiver also has an important role, because it correctly reads the laser light received from the transmitter, through special photodiodes. The receivers, manufactured by Mara Laser, guarantee the levellers will be able to work on any type fo ground and receive the 360° signal, even though it could be poor or it is subjected to interference.
On the leveller, also, there is a control system to remove external interference. It decreases wind rumble, automatically reaches the signal and settles the power of the tractor.
GPS system technology
GPS technology, however, is used to settle the position of the leveller and the height of the blade.
The levellers, that implement this technology, perceive the laser signal from the satellites: even in this situation the program is defined by the signal and reproduced on the soil.
Lately, thanks to technological advancement and the use of dedicated software, an accuracy of ± 10 mm has been obtained, even though this technology offers minor accuracy than laser technology: GPS systems are subject to fluctuations beacuse of the periodic change of constellation of the satellites.
In any case, the minor accuracy is compensated by the wide adaptability of use, in particular when this technology is used to work on large land sections with various inclinations, such as agricultural soil and building constructions.
Integrated laser + GPS system
Mara Laser has created and manufactured an integrated system that matches the precision of laser technology with the potential of GPS, perfect for tough soil.
The higher accuracy of the laser signal shows the plan within a radius of 1300 meters, while the GPS system communicates the precise spot of the leveller. Therefor, the Mara system can settle the height of the tractor leveller and the precise spot of the blade itself.
The creation of the 3D map of the soil enables to highlight the land sections that has to be scraped, the loading areas, the starting point, and the best route that allows to make the best work possible, with both the tractor and the leveller in the right position.
Therefor, the operator will have immediate instructions through the constant updating of the data by the system.
