Laser technology
Laser technology is applied to the levellers in a way that without stopping synchronize the height of the blade.
The leveller, the laser beam transmitter and the laser beam receiver are parts of the laser control system for levelling.
The transmitter is positioned on a tripod that sees the natural inclination of the land and communicates the signal to the receiver, which is instead positioned on the machine itself.
The laser beam, for its internal characteristics, enables very high preciseness even over long land portions. After getting the signal, a technologically perfectioned rotating pentaprism, positioned on these machines, gives back an ideal planning for the leveller to follow while operating.
The receiver also plays a very important part, because it correctly reads the laser light received from the transmitter, through special photodiodes. The receivers, manufactured by Mara Laser, guarantee the levellers will be able to move on any type fo ground and receive the 360° signal, even if it could be poor or it goes through interference.
On the leveller, besides, there is a control system to remove external interference. It lowers wind sound, automatically captures the signal and sets the power of the tractor.
GPS receiver technology
GPS technology, after all, is used to regulate the position of the leveller and the height of the blade.
The levellers, that adopt this technology, obtain the laser signal from the satellites: even in this situation the planning is illustrated by the signal and reproduced on the land.
Lately, thanks to technological progress and the use of dedicated software, an accuracy of ± 10 mm has been obtained, even though this technology offers minor accuracy than laser technology: GPS systems are subject to fluctuations for the periodic change of constellation of the satellites.
In any case, the minor preciseness is compensated by the wide elasticity of use, in particular when this technology is used to work on large land sections with more than one inclinations, such as agricoltural ground and building constructions.
Integrated laser + GPS system
Mara Laser has created and manufactured an integrated system that matches the precision of laser technology with the potential of GPS, perfect for tough land.
The higher preciseness of the laser signal lays out the plan within a radius of 1300 meters, while the GPS system communicates the precise spot of the leveller. Thus, the Mara system can regulate the height of the tractor leveller and the precise spot of the blade itself.
The creation of the 3D map of the land enables to highlight the land sections that has to be scraped, the loading areas, the starting point, and the best way that enables to do the greatest job possible, with both the tractor and the leveller in the right position.
Thus, the operator will have instant instructions through the constant updating of the data by the system.
