Mara Laser is a business company that for over 30 years has been analyzing, producing and marketing laser and GPS controlled laser levellers, calling on clients in about 30 states all over the world.
Thanks to GPS and laser control technologies, we can get to important results in different areas of use: from agricultural soil to sport facilities, from building constructions to road excavations, from landscaping to soil scraping.
Mara’s levellers ensure a series of returns and high productivity in various situations: from the machine operating speed regime, to a total affidability and certainty of the result.
The technology used by Mara is what makes it unbeatable, and the results acquired all over the world witness this. Laser and GPS receiver technologies provide an unrivaled performance, in particular when they are combined.
Laser technology is applied to the levellers in a way that without stopping synchronize the height of the blade.
The leveller, the laser beam transmitter and the laser beam receiver are parts of the laser control system for levelling.
The transmitter is put on a tripod that sees the natural gradient of the soil and communicates the signal to the receiver, which is instead put on the machine itself.
The laser beam, for its internal characteristics, enables very high accuracy even over long land portions. After picking up the signal, a technologically perfectioned rotating pentaprism, put on these machines, gives back an ideal planning for the leveller to follow while operating.
The receiver also has an important role, because it correctly reads the laser light received from the transmitter, through special photodiodes. The receivers, manufactured by Mara Laser, guarantee the levellers will be able to move on any kind of ground and receive the 360° signal, though it could be low or it is subjected to interference.
On the leveller, also, there is a control system to annul external interference. It lowers wind sound, automatically intercepts the signal and sets the power of the tractor.
GPS receiver technology
GPS technology, however, is used to regulate the position of the leveller and the height of the blade.
The levellers, that adopt this technology, obtain the laser signal from the satellites: even in this situation the planning is illustrated by the signal and reproduced on the soil.
Lately, thanks to technological progress and the use of dedicated software, an accuracy of ± 10 mm has been obtained, even though this technology offers less accuracy than laser technology: GPS systems are subject to fluctuations for the periodic change of constellation of the satellites.
In any case, the less accuracy is compensated by the wide elasticity of use, in particular when this technology is used to work on large parts with various inclinations, such as agricultural soil and building constructions.
Integrated laser + GPS system
Mara Laser has produced and manufactured an integrated system that adds the precision of laser technology with the potential of GPS, suitable for harsh soil.
The higher accuracy of the laser signal shows the plan within a radius of 1300 meters, while the GPS system communicates the location of the leveller. Therefor, the Mara system can regulate the height of the tractor leveller and the location of the blade itself.
The creation of the 3D map of the soil enables to highlight the parts that has to be scraped, the loading areas, the starting point, and the best route that enables to make the best work possible, with both the tractor and the leveller in the right position.
Therefor, the operator will have instant instructions through the constant updating of the data by the system.
Fields of application
The important accuracy and elasticity of the levellers manufactured by Mara Laser assure their use in various fields:
- Laser levelling machines for agriculture:
Mara’s laser levellers, among the different benefits assure a important increase of the arable parts. They permits a reduction in the amount of water used, an increased production, a considerable reduction of chemicals used, as well as seeds. The decrease in work times, moreover, makes the use of these machines a sure investment.
- Laser levelling machines for construction:
Mara Laser provides a perfect precision to obtain ground floors with very contained deflections (max 4 mm) and to annul cavities and gaps that would, afterwords, be filled with concrete. The decrease of work times and the possibility of obtaining a perfect slope for water to flow down, are other benefits that make these machines worthy and incomparable in this fields.
- Laser levelling machines for earth-moving:
the first-rate performance of the Mara levellers enables to move large quantity of soil very quickly and with low power. In this way, shorter work times, lower costs and greater accuracy in creating the horizontal plan and gradient, are achieved.
- Laser levelling machine for sportsground:
this type of technology can be used very well in this field as it enables to level even existing areas, repairing soil depressions without replacing the lawn.
- Laser levelling machines for greenhouses:
thanks to the accuracy, contained size and easy handling of Mara laser levellers, it is also doable to work for the maintenance of green spaces. In this way, the right gradient and also a fabulous aesthetic result are ensured.
- Laser grader machines for roads:
in this field, important results are achieved thanks to the capacity of the Mara’s laser graders to provide the same job as the motor grader, with less costs and more convenient times. In addition, there are important benefits, for example specialized labor is no longer needed, on top to the fact that the use of fine materials is reduced.
