Mara’s technology
The technology used by Mara is what makes it unique, and the results obtained all over the world are proof of this. Laser and GPS system technologies give an unrivaled performance, mostly when they are used together.
Laser technology
Laser technology is applied to the levellers in a way that without stopping synchronize the height of the blade.
The leveller, the laser beam transmitter and the laser beam receiver are parts of the laser control system for levelling.
The transmitter is put on a tripod that sees the natural tilt of the land and communicates the signal to the receiver, which is instead positioned on the machine itself.
The laser beam, as it is one of its own characteristics, permits very high accuracy even over long sections of land. After getting the signal, a technologically perfectioned rotating pentaprism, positioned on these machines, gives back an ideal pianification for the leveller to follow while running.
The receiver also has an important role, because it correctly reads the laser light received from the transmitter, through special photodiodes. The receivers, manufactured by Mara Laser, guarantee the levellers will be able to work on any kind of ground and receive the 360° signal, even if it could be poor or it is subjected to interference.
On the leveller, besides, there is a control system to annul external interference. It lowers wind rumble, automatically intercepts the signal and settles the power of the tractor.
GPS system technology
GPS technology, however, is used to settle the position of the leveller and the height of the blade.
The levellers, that adopt this technology, obtain the laser signal from the satellites: even in this situation the pianification is represented by the signal and reproduced on the land.
Lately, thanks to technological progress and the use of dedicated software, an accuracy of ± 10 mm has been obtained, even though this technology offers minor accuracy than laser technology: GPS systems are subject to fluctuations as it is one of the periodic change of constellation of the satellites.
In any case, the minor accuracy is compensated by the wide elasticity of use, mostly when this technology is used to work on large land sections with more than one inclinations, such as agricultural soil and building constructions.
Integrated laser + GPS system
Mara Laser has produced and manufactured an integrated system that adds the precision of laser technology with the potential of GPS, proper for harsh land.
The higher accuracy of the laser signal lays out the plan within a radius of 1300 meters, while the GPS system communicates the precise spot of the leveller. Hence, the Mara system can settle the height of the tractor leveller and the precise spot of the blade itself.
The creation of the 3D map of the land permits to highlight the land sections that has to be scraped, the loading areas, the starting point, and the best way that enables to make the best work possible, with both the tractor and the leveller in the right position.
Hence, the operator will have instant instructions through the constant updating of the data by the system.
