Mara - Laser Levelers

Used grader for greenhouses and landscaping

Mara Laser is a business company that for 30 years and more has been analyzing, producing and trading laser and GPS controlled laser levellers, calling on clients in about 30 states everywhere in the world.
Thanks to GPS and laser control technologies, we can reach significant results in many sectors of use: from agricultural soil to sport facilities, from building constructions to road excavations, from landscaping to ground scraping.
Mara’s levellers ensure a series of advantages and high capacity in various situations: from the machine running velocity, to a total trustworthiness and certainty of the result.

Mara’s technology

The technology used by Mara is what makes it unique, and the results obtained all over the world are proof of this. Laser and GPS receiver technologies provide an unique performance, in particular when they are combined.

Laser technology

Laser technology is applied to the levellers in a way that continually synchronize the height of the blade.
The laser leveller, the laser beam transmitter and the laser beam receiver are the elements of the laser control system for levelling.
The transmitter is located on a tripod that sees the natural gradient of the soil and sends the signal to the receiver, which is instead located on the machine itself.
The laser beam, beacuse of its own characteristics, permits very high accuracy even over long sections of land. After getting the signal, a technologically perfectioned rotating pentaprism, located on these machines, gives back an ideal program for the leveller to follow while running.
The receiver also has an important role, because it correctly reads the laser light received from the transmitter, through special photodiodes. The receivers, manufactured by Mara Laser, guarantee the levellers will be able to move on any type fo ground and receive the 360° signal, though it could be low or it is subjected to interference.
On the laser leveller, also, there is a control system to remove external interference. It lowers wind sound, automatically reaches the signal and sets the power of the tractor.

GPS receiver technology

GPS technology, however, is used to settle the position of the laser leveller and the height of the blade.
The levellers, that implement this technology, get the laser signal from the satellites: even in this situation the program is represented by the signal and reproduced on the soil.
Nowadays, thanks to technological progress and the use of dedicated software, an accuracy of ± 10 mm has been reached up, even though this technology offers poorer accuracy than laser technology: GPS systems are subject to fluctuations beacuse of the periodic change of constellation of the satellites.
In any case, the poorer accuracy is compensated by the wide adaptability of use, in particular when this technology is used to work on large land portions with various inclinations, such as agricultural soil and building constructions.

Integrated laser + GPS system

Mara Laser has produced and manufactured an integrated system that connects the precision of laser technology with the potential of GPS, the right one for harsh soil.
The higher accuracy of the laser signal shows the plan within a radius of 1300 meters, while the GPS system communicates the place of the leveller. Therefor, the Mara system can settle the height of the tractor leveller and the place of the blade itself.
The creation of the 3D map of the soil permits to highlight the land portions that has to be scraped, the loading areas, the starting point, and the best route that enables to make the best work possible, with both the tractor and the leveller in the right position.
Therefor, the operator will have instant instructions through the constant updating of the data by the system.

Fields of application

The significant accuracy and adaptability of the levellers manufactured by Mara Laser secure their use in various fields:

  • Laser levelling machines for agriculture:
Mara’s laser levellers, among the many conveniences secure a important increase of the arable land portions. They permits a reduction in the amount of water used, they can provide more abundant harvest, a considerable reduction of chemicals used, as well as seeds. The decrease in work hours, moreover, makes the use of these machines a sure investment.
  • Laser levelling machines for construction:
Mara Laser provides an absolute perfect precision to obtain ground floors with very reduced deflections (max 4 mm) and to remove cavities and gaps that would, later, be filled with concrete. The decrease of work hours and the possibility of obtaining an absolute perfect inclinatoin for water to flow down, are other conveniences that make these machines priceless and incomparable in this fields.
  • Laser levelling machines for earth-moving:
the first-rate performance of the Mara levellers permits to move large quantity of soil very quickly and with low power. In this way, shorter work hours, lower costs and greater accuracy in creating the horizontal plan and gradient, are reached.
  • Laser levelling machine for sportsground:
this type of technology can be used very well in this area as it makes possible to level even existing sectors, repairing soil depressions without replacing the lawn.
  • Laser levelling machines for greenhouses:
thanks to the accuracy, reduced size and easy handling of Mara laser levellers, it is also feasible to work for the maintenance of green spaces. In this way, the right gradient and also a great aesthetic result are ensured.
  • Laser grader machines for roads:
in this area, important results are reached thanks to the capability of the Mara’s laser graders to provide the same job as the motor grader, with poorer costs and more convenient times. In addition, there are important conveniences, for example specialized labor is no longer needed, on top to the fact that the use of fine materials is reduced.
