Laser technology
Laser technology is applied to the levellers in a way that without stopping synchronize the height of the blade.
The laser leveller, the laser beam transmitter and the laser beam receiver are the elements of the laser control system for levelling.
The transmitter is placed on a tripod that examines the natural gradient of the land and sends the signal to the receiver, which is instead located on the machine itself.
The laser beam, as it is one of its own characteristics, enables very high accuracy even over long sections of land. After picking up the signal, a technologically perfectioned rotating pentaprism, located on these machines, returns an ideal program for the leveller to follow while functioning.
The receiver also has an important role, because it correctly reads the laser light received from the transmitter, through special photodiodes. The receivers, made by Mara Laser, guarantee the levellers will be able to work on any kind of ground and receive the 360° signal, though it could be poor or it goes through interference.
On the laser leveller, also, there is a control system to remove external interference. It decreases wind sound, automatically captures the signal and sets the power of the tractor.
GPS receiver technology
GPS technology, after all, is used to regulate the position of the laser leveller and the height of the blade.
The levellers, that implement this technology, perceive the laser signal from the satellites: even in this situation the program is illustrated by the signal and reproduced on the land.
Lately, thanks to technological advancement and the use of dedicated software, an accuracy of ± 10 mm has been reached up, even though this technology offers poorer accuracy than laser technology: GPS systems are subject to fluctuations as it is one of the periodic change of constellation of the satellites.
In any case, the poorer accuracy is compensated by the wide elasticity of use, in particular when this technology is used to work on large parts with more than one inclinations, such as agricoltural ground and building constructions.
Integrated laser + GPS system
Mara Laser has created and made an integrated system that adds the precision of laser technology with the potential of GPS, the right one for tough land.
The higher accuracy of the laser signal shows the plan within a radius of 1300 meters, while the GPS system communicates the precise spot of the leveller. Therefor, the Mara system can regulate the height of the tractor leveller and the precise spot of the blade itself.
The creation of the 3D map of the land enables to highlight the parts that has to be scraped, the loading areas, the section where to begin, and the best way that enables to make the best work possible, with both the tractor and the leveller in the right position.
Therefor, the operator will have instant instructions through the constant updating of the data by the system.
