Mara - Laser Levelers

Used laser leveller blades for greenhouses and landscaping

Mara Laser is a business company that for over 30 years has been examining, making and marketing laser and GPS controlled laser levellers, calling on clients in about 30 states everywhere in the world.
Thanks to GPS and laser control technologies, we can reach significant results in many sectors of use: from agricultural soil to sport facilities, from building constructions to road excavations, from landscaping to ground scraping.
Mara’s levellers ensure a series of returns and high productivity in various situations: from the machine running speed regime, to a total affidability and guarantee of the final success.

Mara’s technology

The technology used by Mara is what makes it unique, and the results acquired all over the world witness this. Laser and GPS receiver technologies provide an unrivaled performance, mostly when they are used together.

Laser technology

Laser technology is applied to the levellers in a way that continually synchronize the height of the blade.
The leveller, the laser beam transmitter and the laser beam receiver are parts of the laser control system for levelling.
The transmitter is positioned on a tripod that observes the natural tilt of the soil and communicates the signal to the receiver, which is instead located on the machine itself.
The laser beam, beacuse of its own characteristics, permits very high accuracy even over long land portions. After picking up the signal, a technologically perfectioned rotating pentaprism, located on these machines, returns an ideal program for the leveller to follow while running.
The receiver also has an important role, because it correctly reads the laser light received from the transmitter, through special photodiodes. The receivers, made by Mara Laser, guarantee the levellers will be able to work on any type fo ground and receive the 360° signal, though it could be low or it goes through interference.
On the leveller, moreover, there is a control system to annul external interference. It lowers wind sound, automatically reaches the signal and settles the power of the tractor.

GPS receiver technology

GPS technology, after all, is used to regulate the position of the leveller and the height of the blade.
The levellers, that adopt this technology, perceive the laser signal from the satellites: even in this situation the program is represented by the signal and reproduced on the soil.
Nowadays, thanks to technological advancement and the use of dedicated software, an accuracy of ± 10 mm has been reached up, even though this technology offers less accuracy than laser technology: GPS systems are subject to fluctuations beacuse of the periodic change of constellation of the satellites.
In any case, the less accuracy is compensated by the wide adaptability of use, mostly when this technology is used to work on large parts with various inclinations, such as agricultural soil and building constructions.

Integrated laser + GPS system

Mara Laser has produced and made an integrated system that matches the precision of laser technology with the potential of GPS, the right one for harsh soil.
The higher accuracy of the laser signal shows the plan within a radius of 1300 meters, while the GPS system communicates the location of the leveller. Hence, the Mara system can regulate the height of the tractor leveller and the location of the blade itself.
The creation of the 3D map of the soil permits to highlight the parts that has to be scraped, the loading areas, the point where to start, and the best route that allows to do the greatest job possible, with both the tractor and the leveller in the right position.
Hence, the operator will have instant instructions through the constant updating of the data by the system.

Fields of application

The significant accuracy and adaptability of the levellers made by Mara Laser ensure their use in various areas:

  • Laser levelling machines for agriculture:
Mara’s laser levellers, among the many conveniences ensure a important increase of the arable parts. They enable a reduction in the amount of water used, they can provide more abundant harvest, a considerable reduction of chemicals used, as well as seeds. The lowering in work times, furthermore, makes the use of these machines a sure investment.
  • Laser levelling machines for construction:
Mara Laser provides a perfect precision to obtain ground floors with very contained deflections (max 4 mm) and to annul cavities and gaps that would, afterwords, be filled with concrete. The lowering of work times and the possibility of obtaining a perfect inclinatoin for water to flow down, are other conveniences that make these machines worthy and incomparable in this areas.
  • Laser levelling machines for earth-moving:
the fine performance of the Mara levellers permits to move large amount of soil very quickly and with low power. In this way, shorter work times, lower costs and greater accuracy in creating the horizontal plan and tilt, are achieved.
  • Laser levelling machine for sportsground:
this type of technology can be utilized very well in this field as it makes possible to level even existing sectors, repairing slope without replacing the lawn.
  • Laser levelling machines for greenhouses:
thanks to the accuracy, contained size and easy handling of Mara laser levellers, it is also doable to work for the maintenance of green spaces. In this way, the right tilt and also a fabulous aesthetic result are ensured.
  • Laser grader machines for roads:
in this field, important results are achieved thanks to the capability of the Mara’s laser graders to perform the same job as the motor grader, with less costs and more convenient times. In addition, there are important conveniences, for example specialized labor is no longer needed, on top to the fact that the use of fine materials is reduced.
