The technology used by Mara is what makes it unbeatable, and the results obtained all over the world testify this. Laser and GPS receiver technologies provide an unique performance, in particular when they are combined.
Laser technology
Laser technology is applied to the levellers in a way that without stopping synchronize the height of the blade.
The laser leveller, the laser beam transmitter and the laser beam receiver are the elements of the laser control system for levelling.
The transmitter is located on a tripod that examines the natural tilt of the soil and sends the signal to the receiver, which is instead mounted on the machine itself.
The laser beam, as it is one of its own characteristics, enables very high preciseness even over long land portions. After getting the signal, a technologically perfectioned rotating pentaprism, mounted on these machines, gives back an ideal planning for the leveller to follow while running.
The receiver also plays a very important part, because it correctly reads the laser light received from the transmitter, through special photodiodes. The receivers, made by Mara Laser, guarantee the levellers will be able to move on any type fo ground and receive the 360° signal, even though it could be poor or it is subjected to interference.
On the laser leveller, moreover, there is a control system to annul external interference. It cuts wind rumble, automatically reaches the signal and sets the power of the tractor.
GPS receiver technology
GPS technology, however, is used to settle the position of the laser leveller and the height of the blade.
The levellers, that implement this technology, perceive the laser signal from the satellites: even in this situation the planning is defined by the signal and reproduced on the soil.
Nowadays, thanks to technological progress and the use of dedicated software, an accuracy of ± 10 mm has been obtained, even though this technology offers less accuracy than laser technology: GPS systems are subject to fluctuations as it is one of the periodic change of constellation of the satellites.
In any case, the less preciseness is compensated by the wide elasticity of use, in particular when this technology is used to work on large land sections with various inclinations, such as agricoltural ground and building constructions.
Integrated laser + GPS system
Mara Laser has created and made an integrated system that adds the precision of laser technology with the potential of GPS, proper for tough soil.
The higher preciseness of the laser signal lays out the plan within a radius of 1300 meters, while the GPS system communicates the precise spot of the leveller. Thus, the Mara system can settle the height of the tractor leveller and the precise spot of the blade itself.
The creation of the 3D map of the soil enables to highlight the land sections that has to be scraped, the loading areas, the section where to begin, and the best route that allows to do the greatest job possible, with both the tractor and the leveller in the right position.
Thus, the operator will have prompt instructions through the constant updating of the data by the system.
