Mara - Laser Levelers

Used leveller blade for roads

Mara Laser is a business company that for over 30 years has been examining, making and trading laser and GPS controlled laser levelling machines, calling on buyers in about 30 nations all over the world.
Thanks to GPS and laser control technologies, we can get to significant results in different sectors of use: from agricoltural ground to sportsground, from building constructions to road excavations, from landscaping to soil scraping.
Mara’s levellers ensure a series of returns and high productivity in various situations: from the machine running velocity, to a total trustworthiness and certainty of the result.

Mara’s technology

The technology used by Mara is what makes it unique, and the results obtained all over the world testify this. Laser and GPS receiver technologies provide an unique performance, mostly when they are combined.

Laser technology

Laser technology is applied to the levellers in a way that without stopping synchronize the height of the blade.
The laser leveller, the laser beam transmitter and the laser beam receiver are parts of the laser control system for levelling.
The transmitter is put on a tripod that examines the natural inclination of the land and communicates the signal to the receiver, which is instead located on the machine itself.
The laser beam, for its internal characteristics, enables very high accuracy even over long sections of land. After picking up the signal, a technologically perfectioned rotating pentaprism, located on these machines, gives back an ideal program for the leveller to follow while running.
The receiver also plays a very important part, because it correctly reads the laser light received from the transmitter, through special photodiodes. The receivers, made by Mara Laser, guarantee the levellers will be able to work on any type fo ground and receive the 360° signal, though it could be low or experiences interference.
On the laser leveller, moreover, there is a control system to remove external interference. It cuts wind rumble, automatically captures the signal and settles the power of the tractor.

GPS receiver technology

GPS technology, after all, is used to set the position of the laser leveller and the height of the blade.
The levellers, that implement this technology, perceive the laser signal from the satellites: even in this situation the program is represented by the signal and reproduced on the land.
Lately, thanks to technological progress and the use of dedicated software, an accuracy of ± 10 mm has been reached up, even though this technology offers minor accuracy than laser technology: GPS systems are subject to fluctuations for the periodic change of constellation of the satellites.
In any case, the minor accuracy is compensated by the wide adaptability of use, mostly when this technology is used to work on large parts with various inclinations, such as agricoltural ground and building constructions.

Integrated laser + GPS system

Mara Laser has produced and made an integrated system that adds the precision of laser technology with the potential of GPS, the right one for harsh land.
The higher accuracy of the laser signal lays out the plan within a radius of 1300 meters, while the GPS system communicates the precise spot of the leveller. Therefor, the Mara system can set the height of the tractor leveller and the precise spot of the blade itself.
The creation of the 3D map of the land enables to highlight the parts that has to be scraped, the loading areas, the section where to begin, and the best route that enables to make the best work possible, with both the tractor and the leveller in the right position.
Therefor, the operator will have instant instructions through the constant updating of the data by the system.

Fields of application

The significant accuracy and adaptability of the levellers made by Mara Laser secure their use in various areas:

  • Laser levelling machines for agriculture:
Mara’s laser levellers, among the different conveniences secure a key increase of the arable parts. They enable a reduction in the amount of water used, they can provide more abundant harvest, a considerable reduction of chemicals used, as well as seeds. The lowering in work times, moreover, makes the use of these machines a sure investment.
  • Laser levelling machines for construction:
Mara Laser gives a perfect precision to obtain ground floors with very reduced deflections (max 4 mm) and to remove cavities and gaps that would, afterwords, be filled with concrete. The lowering of work times and the possibility of obtaining a perfect slope for water to flow down, are other conveniences that make these machines worthy and incomparable in this areas.
  • Laser levelling machines for earth-moving:
the superbe performance of the Mara levellers enables to move large quantity of soil very quickly and with low power. In this way, shorter work times, lower costs and greater accuracy in creating the horizontal plan and inclination, are achieved.
  • Laser levelling machine for sportsground:
this type of technology can be used very well in this field as it enables to level even existing sectors, repairing soil depressions without replacing the lawn.
  • Laser levelling machines for greenhouses:
thanks to the accuracy, reduced size and easy handling of Mara laser levelling machines, it is also doable to work for the maintenance of green spaces. In this way, the right inclination and also a great aesthetic result are ensured.
  • Laser grader machines for roads:
in this field, important results are achieved thanks to the capacity of the Mara’s laser graders to perform the same job as the motor grader, with minor costs and more convenient times. In addition, there are key conveniences, for example specialized labor is no longer needed, on top to the fact that the use of fine materials is reduced.
