The technology used by Mara is what makes it unbeatable, and the results acquired all over the world witness this. Laser and GPS system technologies provide an unique performance, in particular when they are used together.
Laser technology
Laser technology is applied to the levellers in a way that without stopping synchronize the height of the blade.
The laser levelling machine, the laser beam transmitter and the laser beam receiver are parts of the laser control system for levelling.
The transmitter is put on a tripod that observes the natural inclination of the land and communicates the signal to the receiver, which is instead mounted on the machine itself.
The laser beam, for its own characteristics, permits very high preciseness even over long land portions. After obtaining the signal, a technologically perfectioned rotating pentaprism, mounted on these machines, returns an ideal program for the leveller to follow while operating.
The receiver also plays a very important part, because it correctly reads the laser light received from the transmitter, through special photodiodes. The receivers, manufactured by Mara Laser, guarantee the levellers will be able to move on any type fo ground and receive the 360° signal, even though it could be poor or it goes through interference.
On the laser levelling machine, also, there is a control system to annul external interference. It decreases wind sound, automatically reaches the signal and regulates the power of the tractor.
GPS system technology
GPS technology, however, is used to regulate the position of the laser levelling machine and the height of the blade.
The levellers, that adopt this technology, obtain the laser signal from the satellites: even in this situation the program is represented by the signal and reproduced on the land.
Lately, thanks to technological advancement and the use of dedicated software, an accuracy of ± 10 mm has been reached up, even though this technology offers less accuracy than laser technology: GPS systems are subject to fluctuations for the periodic change of constellation of the satellites.
In any case, the less preciseness is compensated by the wide adaptability of use, in particular when this technology is used to work on large land portions with more than one inclinations, such as agricoltural ground and building constructions.
Integrated laser + GPS system
Mara Laser has created and manufactured an integrated system that adds the precision of laser technology with the potential of GPS, suitable for tough land.
The higher preciseness of the laser signal lays out the plan within a radius of 1300 meters, while the GPS system communicates the precise spot of the leveller. Hence, the Mara system can regulate the height of the tractor leveller and the precise spot of the blade itself.
The creation of the 3D map of the land permits to highlight the land portions that has to be scraped, the loading areas, the section where to begin, and the best way that allows to make the best work possible, with both the tractor and the leveller in the right position.
Hence, the operator will have instant instructions through the constant updating of the data by the system.
