Mara’s technology
The technology used by Mara is what makes it unique, and the results obtained all over the world are proof of this. Laser and GPS system technologies provide an unique performance, mostly when they are combined.
Laser technology
Laser technology is applied to the levellers in a way that without stopping synchronize the height of the blade.
The laser levelling machine, the laser beam transmitter and the laser beam receiver are parts of the laser control system for levelling.
The transmitter is put on a tripod that examines the natural tilt of the soil and sends the signal to the receiver, which is instead positioned on the machine itself.
The laser beam, beacuse of its own characteristics, permits very high accuracy even over long land portions. After obtaining the signal, a technologically perfectioned rotating pentaprism, positioned on these machines, gives back an ideal program for the leveller to follow while running.
The receiver also plays a very important part, because it correctly reads the laser light received from the transmitter, through special photodiodes. The receivers, manufactured by Mara Laser, guarantee the levellers will be able to work on any kind of soil and receive the 360° signal, even though it could be low or it is subjected to interference.
On the laser levelling machine, also, there is a control system to remove external interference. It lowers wind sound, automatically reaches the signal and settles the power of the tractor.
GPS system technology
GPS technology, however, is used to regulate the position of the laser levelling machine and the height of the blade.
The levellers, that adopt this technology, perceive the laser signal from the satellites: even in this situation the program is represented by the signal and reproduced on the soil.
Nowadays, thanks to technological advancement and the use of dedicated software, an accuracy of ± 10 mm has been reached up, even though this technology offers less accuracy than laser technology: GPS systems are subject to fluctuations beacuse of the periodic change of constellation of the satellites.
In any case, the less accuracy is compensated by the wide elasticity of use, mostly when this technology is used to work on large land sections with various inclinations, such as agricultural soil and building constructions.
Integrated laser + GPS system
Mara Laser has created and manufactured an integrated system that connects the precision of laser technology with the potential of GPS, proper for tough soil.
The higher accuracy of the laser signal shows the plan within a radius of 1300 meters, while the GPS system communicates the location of the leveller. Hence, the Mara system can regulate the height of the tractor leveller and the location of the blade itself.
The creation of the 3D map of the soil permits to highlight the land sections that has to be scraped, the loading areas, the starting point, and the best route that enables to make the best work possible, with both the tractor and the leveller in the right position.
Hence, the operator will have prompt instructions through the constant updating of the data by the system.
