The technology used by Mara is what makes it unbeatable, and the results obtained all over the world are proof of this. Laser and GPS receiver technologies give an unique performance, in particular when they are combined.
Laser technology
Laser technology is applied to the levellers in a way that without stopping synchronize the height of the blade.
The leveller, the laser beam transmitter and the laser beam receiver are the elements of the laser control system for levelling.
The transmitter is put on a tripod that observes the natural tilt of the soil and communicates the signal to the receiver, which is instead mounted on the machine itself.
The laser beam, as it is one of its internal characteristics, permits very high preciseness even over long sections of land. After obtaining the signal, a technologically perfectioned rotating pentaprism, mounted on these machines, gives back an ideal planning for the leveller to follow while running.
The receiver also plays a very important part, because it correctly reads the laser light received from the transmitter, through special photodiodes. The receivers, manufactured by Mara Laser, guarantee the levellers will be able to move on any kind of soil and receive the 360° signal, even though it could be low or it is subjected to interference.
On the leveller, besides, there is a control system to annul external interference. It cuts wind sound, automatically intercepts the signal and settles the power of the tractor.
GPS receiver technology
GPS technology, after all, is used to settle the position of the leveller and the height of the blade.
The levellers, that implement this technology, obtain the laser signal from the satellites: even in this situation the planning is represented by the signal and reproduced on the soil.
Nowadays, thanks to technological progress and the use of dedicated software, an accuracy of ± 10 mm has been reached up, even though this technology offers poorer accuracy than laser technology: GPS systems are subject to fluctuations as it is one of the periodic change of constellation of the satellites.
In any case, the poorer preciseness is compensated by the wide elasticity of use, in particular when this technology is used to work on large land sections with various inclinations, such as agricultural soil and building constructions.
Integrated laser + GPS system
Mara Laser has created and manufactured an integrated system that adds the precision of laser technology with the potential of GPS, the right one for harsh soil.
The higher preciseness of the laser signal lays out the plan within a radius of 1300 meters, while the GPS system communicates the place of the leveller. Therefor, the Mara system can settle the height of the tractor leveller and the place of the blade itself.
The creation of the 3D map of the soil permits to highlight the land sections that has to be scraped, the loading areas, the point where to start, and the best route that allows to make the best work possible, with both the tractor and the leveller in the right position.
Therefor, the operator will have instant instructions through the constant updating of the data by the system.
