The technology used by Mara is what makes it unbeatable, and the results acquired all over the world witness this. Laser and GPS receiver technologies provide an unrivaled performance, mostly when they are combined.
Laser technology
Laser technology is applied to the levellers in a way that without stopping synchronize the height of the blade.
The laser leveller, the laser beam transmitter and the laser beam receiver are parts of the laser control system for levelling.
The transmitter is placed on a tripod that examines the natural gradient of the land and sends the signal to the receiver, which is instead mounted on the machine itself.
The laser beam, as it is one of its own characteristics, enables very high accuracy even over long sections of land. After picking up the signal, a technologically perfectioned rotating pentaprism, mounted on these machines, gives back an ideal pianification for the leveller to follow while operating.
The receiver also plays a very important part, because it correctly reads the laser light received from the transmitter, through special photodiodes. The receivers, manufactured by Mara Laser, guarantee the levellers will be able to move on any kind of soil and receive the 360° signal, though it could be poor or it goes through interference.
On the laser leveller, moreover, there is a control system to remove external interference. It decreases wind sound, automatically intercepts the signal and settles the power of the tractor.
GPS receiver technology
GPS technology, after all, is used to regulate the position of the laser leveller and the height of the blade.
The levellers, that adopt this technology, get the laser signal from the satellites: even in this situation the pianification is defined by the signal and reproduced on the land.
Nowadays, thanks to technological progress and the use of dedicated software, an accuracy of ± 10 mm has been obtained, even though this technology offers less accuracy than laser technology: GPS systems are subject to fluctuations as it is one of the periodic change of constellation of the satellites.
In any case, the less accuracy is compensated by the wide elasticity of use, mostly when this technology is used to work on large land sections with more than one inclinations, such as agricultural soil and building constructions.
Integrated laser + GPS system
Mara Laser has created and manufactured an integrated system that adds the precision of laser technology with the potential of GPS, proper for tough land.
The higher accuracy of the laser signal represents the plan within a radius of 1300 meters, while the GPS system communicates the precise spot of the leveller. Therefor, the Mara system can regulate the height of the tractor leveller and the precise spot of the blade itself.
The creation of the 3D map of the land enables to highlight the land sections that has to be scraped, the loading areas, the point where to start, and the best route that allows to make the best work possible, with both the tractor and the leveller in the right position.
Therefor, the operator will have instant instructions through the constant updating of the data by the system.
