The technology used by Mara is what makes it unbeatable, and the results acquired all over the world witness this. Laser and GPS receiver technologies provide an unrivaled performance, in particular when they are combined.
Laser technology
Laser technology is applied to the levellers in a way that continually synchronize the height of the blade.
The laser leveller, the laser beam transmitter and the laser beam receiver are parts of the laser control system for levelling.
The transmitter is put on a tripod that observes the natural tilt of the land and communicates the signal to the receiver, which is instead mounted on the machine itself.
The laser beam, as it is one of its internal characteristics, enables very high preciseness even over long land portions. After getting the signal, a technologically perfectioned rotating pentaprism, mounted on these machines, returns an ideal pianification for the leveller to follow while operating.
The receiver also plays a very important part, because it correctly reads the laser light received from the transmitter, through special photodiodes. The receivers, manufactured by Mara Laser, guarantee the levellers will be able to move on any kind of soil and receive the 360° signal, even if it could be low or it is subjected to interference.
On the laser leveller, also, there is a control system to remove external interference. It decreases wind rumble, automatically captures the signal and settles the power of the tractor.
GPS receiver technology
GPS technology, after all, is used to set the position of the laser leveller and the height of the blade.
The levellers, that implement this technology, perceive the laser signal from the satellites: even in this situation the pianification is illustrated by the signal and reproduced on the land.
Nowadays, thanks to technological progress and the use of dedicated software, an accuracy of ± 10 mm has been reached up, even though this technology offers minor accuracy than laser technology: GPS systems are subject to fluctuations as it is one of the periodic change of constellation of the satellites.
In any case, the minor preciseness is compensated by the wide adaptability of use, in particular when this technology is used to work on large land sections with various inclinations, such as agricultural soil and building constructions.
Integrated laser + GPS system
Mara Laser has created and manufactured an integrated system that adds the precision of laser technology with the potential of GPS, perfect for harsh land.
The higher preciseness of the laser signal shows the plan within a radius of 1300 meters, while the GPS system communicates the location of the leveller. Hence, the Mara system can set the height of the tractor leveller and the location of the blade itself.
The creation of the 3D map of the land enables to highlight the land sections that has to be scraped, the loading areas, the starting point, and the best way that enables to do the greatest job possible, with both the tractor and the leveller in the right position.
Hence, the operator will have immediate instructions through the constant updating of the data by the system.
