Mara - Laser Levelers

Used laser leveller blades for earth-moving

Mara Laser is a business company that for 30 years and more has been analyzing, making and trading laser and GPS controlled laser levellers, turning towards clients in about 30 states all over the world.
Thanks to GPS and laser control technologies, we can reach important results in many sectors of utility: from agricultural soil to sportsground, from building constructions to road excavations, from landscaping to ground scraping.
Mara’s levellers ensure a series of returns and high capacity in more than one situations: from the machine running speed regime, to a total affidability and guarantee of the final success.

Mara’s technology

The technology used by Mara is what makes it unique, and the results obtained all over the world are proof of this. Laser and GPS receiver technologies provide an unique performance, in particular when they are used together.

Laser technology

Laser technology is applied to the levellers in a way that continually synchronize the height of the blade.
The laser levelling machine, the laser beam transmitter and the laser beam receiver are the elements of the laser control system for levelling.
The transmitter is put on a tripod that sees the natural tilt of the soil and communicates the signal to the receiver, which is instead located on the machine itself.
The laser beam, as it is one of its internal characteristics, enables very high accuracy even over long land portions. After picking up the signal, a technologically perfectioned rotating pentaprism, located on these machines, gives back an ideal planning for the leveller to follow while running.
The receiver also has an important role, because it correctly reads the laser light received from the transmitter, through special photodiodes. The receivers, manufactured by Mara Laser, guarantee the levellers will be able to move on any type fo ground and receive the 360° signal, even though it could be low or it is subjected to interference.
On the laser levelling machine, besides, there is a control system to annul external interference. It cuts wind rumble, automatically reaches the signal and settles the power of the tractor.

GPS receiver technology

GPS technology, however, is used to set the position of the laser levelling machine and the height of the blade.
The levellers, that adopt this technology, get the laser signal from the satellites: even in this situation the planning is represented by the signal and reproduced on the soil.
Lately, thanks to technological advancement and the use of dedicated software, an accuracy of ± 10 mm has been obtained, even though this technology offers minor accuracy than laser technology: GPS systems are subject to fluctuations as it is one of the periodic change of constellation of the satellites.
In any case, the minor accuracy is compensated by the wide elasticity of use, in particular when this technology is used to work on large parts with more than one inclinations, such as agricultural soil and building constructions.

Integrated laser + GPS system

Mara Laser has created and manufactured an integrated system that connects the precision of laser technology with the potential of GPS, the right one for tough soil.
The higher accuracy of the laser signal shows the plan within a radius of 1300 meters, while the GPS system communicates the place of the leveller. Thus, the Mara system can set the height of the tractor leveller and the place of the blade itself.
The creation of the 3D map of the soil enables to highlight the parts that has to be scraped, the loading areas, the point where to start, and the best way that allows to do the greatest job possible, with both the tractor and the leveller in the right position.
Thus, the operator will have instant instructions through the constant updating of the data by the system.

Fields of application

The important accuracy and elasticity of the levellers manufactured by Mara Laser secure their use in more than one areas:

  • Laser levelling machines for agriculture:
Mara’s laser levellers, among the many plus secure a key increase of the arable parts. They enable a reduction in the amount of water used, they can provide more abundant harvest, a considerable reduction of chemicals used, as well as seeds. The decrease in work hours, moreover, makes the use of these machines a sure investment.
  • Laser levelling machines for construction:
Mara Laser provides an absolute perfect precision to obtain ground floors with very contained deflections (max 4 mm) and to annul cavities and gaps that would, afterwords, be filled with concrete. The decrease of work hours and the possibility of obtaining an absolute perfect slope for water to flow down, are other plus that make these machines worthy and incomparable in this areas.
  • Laser levelling machines for earth-moving:
the first-rate performance of the Mara levellers enables to move large amount of soil very quickly and with low power. In this way, shorter work hours, lower costs and greater accuracy in creating the horizontal plan and tilt, are achieved.
  • Laser levelling machine for sportsground:
this type of technology can be used very well in this area as it makes possible to level even existing sectors, repairing soil depressions without replacing the lawn.
  • Laser levelling machines for greenhouses:
thanks to the accuracy, contained size and easy handling of Mara laser levellers, it is also doable to work for the maintenance of green spaces. In this way, the right tilt and also a great aesthetic result are assured.
  • Laser grader machines for roads:
in this area, important results are achieved thanks to the capacity of the Mara’s laser graders to perform the same job as the motor grader, with minor costs and more convenient times. In addition, there are key plus, for example specialized labor is no longer necessary, on top to the fact that the use of fine materials is reduced.
