Mara - Laser Levelers

Used leveller blades for earth-moving

Mara Laser is a business company that for 30 years and more has been analyzing, producing and trading laser and GPS controlled levellers, turning towards buyers in about 30 nations all over the world.
Thanks to GPS and laser control technologies, we can get to significant results in different areas of use: from agricultural soil to sport facilities, from building constructions to road excavations, from landscaping to soil scraping.
Mara’s levellers ensure a series of returns and high capacity in various situations: from the machine functioning velocity, to a total trustworthiness and assurance of the result.

Mara’s technology

The technology used by Mara is what makes it unbeatable, and the results acquired all over the world witness this. Laser and GPS system technologies provide an unrivaled performance, mostly when they are used together.

Laser technology

Laser technology is applied to the levellers in a way that continually synchronize the height of the blade.
The leveller, the laser beam transmitter and the laser beam receiver are the elements of the laser control system for levelling.
The transmitter is placed on a tripod that examines the natural inclination of the soil and sends the signal to the receiver, which is instead put on the machine itself.
The laser beam, for its own characteristics, enables very high accuracy even over long sections of land. After obtaining the signal, a technologically perfectioned rotating pentaprism, put on these machines, returns an ideal pianification for the leveller to follow while functioning.
The receiver also plays a very important part, because it correctly reads the laser light received from the transmitter, through special photodiodes. The receivers, made by Mara Laser, guarantee the levellers will be able to work on any type fo ground and receive the 360° signal, though it could be low or it is subjected to interference.
On the leveller, besides, there is a control system to remove external interference. It decreases wind sound, automatically reaches the signal and sets the power of the tractor.

GPS system technology

GPS technology, after all, is used to set the position of the leveller and the height of the blade.
The levellers, that adopt this technology, obtain the laser signal from the satellites: even in this situation the pianification is represented by the signal and reproduced on the soil.
Lately, thanks to technological progress and the use of dedicated software, an accuracy of ± 10 mm has been obtained, even though this technology offers poorer accuracy than laser technology: GPS systems are subject to fluctuations for the periodic change of constellation of the satellites.
In any case, the poorer accuracy is compensated by the wide elasticity of use, mostly when this technology is used to work on large parts with various inclinations, such as agricultural soil and building constructions.

Integrated laser + GPS system

Mara Laser has produced and made an integrated system that connects the precision of laser technology with the potential of GPS, the right one for harsh soil.
The higher accuracy of the laser signal lays out the plan within a radius of 1300 meters, while the GPS system communicates the location of the leveller. Hence, the Mara system can set the height of the tractor leveller and the location of the blade itself.
The creation of the 3D map of the soil enables to highlight the parts that has to be scraped, the loading areas, the section where to begin, and the best route that enables to do the greatest job possible, with both the tractor and the leveller in the right position.
Hence, the operator will have instant instructions through the constant updating of the data by the system.

Fields of application

The significant accuracy and elasticity of the levellers made by Mara Laser secure their use in various areas:

  • Laser levelling machines for agriculture:
Mara’s laser levellers, among the different benefits secure a key increase of the arable parts. They enable a reduction in the amount of water used, an increased production, a considerable reduction of chemicals used, as well as seeds. The decrease in work times, furthermore, makes the use of these machines a sure investment.
  • Laser levelling machines for construction:
Mara Laser gives a perfect precision to obtain ground floors with very reduced deflections (max 4 mm) and to remove cavities and gaps that would, afterwords, be filled with concrete. The decrease of work times and the possibility of obtaining a perfect slope for water to flow down, are other benefits that make these machines incomparable and incomparable in this areas.
  • Laser levelling machines for earth-moving:
the superbe performance of the Mara levellers enables to move large quantity of soil very quickly and with low power. In this way, shorter work times, lower costs and greater accuracy in creating the horizontal plan and inclination, are reached.
  • Laser levelling machine for sportsground:
this type of technology can be utilized very well in this area as it makes possible to level even existing areas, repairing soil depressions without replacing the lawn.
  • Laser levelling machines for greenhouses:
thanks to the accuracy, reduced size and easy handling of Mara levellers, it is also feasible to work for the maintenance of green spaces. In this way, the right inclination and also a great aesthetic result are secured.
  • Laser grader machines for roads:
in this area, important results are reached thanks to the capability of the Mara’s laser graders to provide the same job as the motor grader, with poorer costs and more convenient times. In addition, there are key benefits, for example specialized labor is no longer necessary, besides to the fact that the use of fine materials is reduced.
